The downrods have a 3/4-inch outer diameter and are manufactured to work with Modern Forms Smart Fans only.
Downrods cannot be used with "Hugger" or "Flush Mount" ceiling fans, as these types of fans are designed to be installed close to the ceiling.
All Modern Forms downrods are UL, cUL, and CSA listed, ensuring they comply with global safety standards. They can be joined together using a downrod coupler (SC-xx) to create lengths greater than 72 inches.
The downrods have a single threaded end on the motor side, and the un-threaded side can be cut in the field to shorten the downrod as needed. For example, if a 10-inch downrod is required, a 12-inch downrod can be purchased and shortened by 2 inches.
