This universal ceiling fan remote control kit (FAN-HD/FANHD5+FAN28R) works with most major 3-speed AC ceiling fans, including Hampton Bay, Harbor Breeze, Hunter, Home Decorators Collection, Honeywell, and other brands. It is perfect for upgrading AC ceiling fans.

The universal remote control kit is compatible with various FCC IDs and models, and it is compatible with dimmable LED and incandescent light bulbs. However, other LED and all CFL lamps only support the ON/OFF function. The remote is not recommended for use with hugger-style fans, as it is designed for downrod-style fans.

This ceiling fan remote control kit has a durable and powerful black receiver. The rated power of the receiver is 240W, which is far beyond the general carrying power capacity, allowing you to access more light bulbs.

The remote has 5 buttons: 3-Speed (High/Medium/Low) and OFF for fan speed control, and a Light Dimmer for dimming control. The light dimmer works well with some dimmable CFL/LED lights and all incandescent lamps. However, most LED/CFL lights are non-dimmable, and the remote can only control the ON/OFF function, which may cause flickering when using the dimming function.

To use and install the remote, you need to set the same matching dip switch on the transmitter and receiver. There are 16 different frequencies that can be set for the receiver and the transmitter. The default setting is 0000, which is not recommended. The remote control uses a 9V battery, which is not included in the package.

When installing the receiver in the ceiling fan, the wires are labeled, and the colors correspond to the correct color codes. Connect the ceiling fan and light according to the wiring label of the receiver.

Please note that this ceiling fan remote does not have a Reverse button, but it is suitable for ceiling fans with a reverse switch. It works well with fans in the reverse state.

If your ceiling fan has a pull cord switch, you need to use the pull cord switch to turn the wind speed to maximum and turn the fan light on before using the remote control. Only then can the pull cord switch and wireless remote control be used together.
